YAITFT (Yet another id this frame thread) - 1984/5? Schwinn world or world sport?

I'm looking at this bike which is supposedly a world sport.. unfortunately the pictures do not show the "world sport" clearly.

decals make it look like a 84 or 85, but catalogs (1984 and 1985) don't list the world sport as coming in anything close to red. It kinda looks like it might just a World which came in Maroon. Here's the 1985 world

pics of said frame

yeah i know that for sure, but if it's not a world sport it's not worth the 30 minute drive to pick it up even if it were free lol. i thought it was a WS but looking at the pics i dont see the 4130 sticker and the catalog makes me think its a world

My main ride is a '78 World, and it serves its purpose very nicely. Tomorrow I'll be going for my 6th century on it since Christmas. Femco 1207 and all.

The only difference between that era World and World Sport was the components. The frames were the same. If there was a weight difference it was because the Sport used lighter components than the World. Both are 1020 steel bikes. I think the frame is roughly a 1985. Roger

according to the catalog, the world sport has 4130 cromo main tubes and a slightly different geometry than the world

it doesn't matter though the seller wants too much regardless of what it is
