Cycle Underground custom chainrings

Has anyone here had any dealings with Cycle Underground in Australia? They supposedly make custom chainrings in just about any BCD, quite reasonably priced. I want to see if they can make me a 122 BCD triplizer ring for my Stronglight 93, but they have not so far answered any of my messages, which makes me wonder. Highpath Engineering in the UK would have been another (though probably more expensive) source, but their Web site says they're no longer accepting custom chainring orders until some unspecified time in the future.

Jon,

If they respond and the price is reasonable, let me know, because I'd like one as well in 122 BCD. Maybe the more orders the better and this would garner their attention and produce a positive response.

Bob, I will let you know if and when I hear anything from them. I suspect that there might be several older inhabitants of mountainous areas associated with this forum who might be interested in triplizing their 93s. In fact mentioned that in my messages to the Cycle Underground folks. We'll see what happens.

I've been bugging my machinist friend to start making chain rings. I think I'll give him a call today and see if I can get this moving. I got a set of TA Cyclotourist cranks w/ 52-47 rings that really need to be swapped for something smaller.

Yeah! Tell him to get his ass in gear, so to speak.

So I called him and it might be potentially expensive. He said a conservative estimate would be around $100 per piece if there was an order for 20 pieces. It'd be cheaper if someone could set the design up with some sort of CAD program. I'm computer inept so that's out of my league. If there is interest here, maybe someone on here could set everything up. I can find out what program he needs
