How strict is the "premium membership to sell" rule?
I ask not because I'm having trouble selling, but because I have a bike and frame-set that I think some members might like to own. I'm sure they'll go as soon as I put them on CL, but I'd rather offer them here. However, I don't have the upgraded status and am not supposed to post in the for sale section. Is this rule strict, and I should just go ahead and CL them, or might it be OK since it's not something I do all the time(as in I never have and don't have any plans to again)?

well you could become a premium member and then you'd be good to go. Aside from allowing you to sell it gives you a neat icon next to your name and removes some ads I think.
Or you could just make a post like this and wait for all the PM's to come rollin in

Its 12 bux a year, and you can sign up just by clicking on the little yellow jersey next to anyone's name who has it.
or if 12 bux is a little too Bourgeois you can do a 30 day "trial" for 3 bux.

The membership is not so expensive, and worth the price. Come on in, the water's fine.

The only reason I don't want to spring for the full membership is simply because I really would be doing it for the sake of others. I'll have no problem selling. But I don't really want to spend $12 to sell something. At that point I'd just go with CL. I didn't realize there was a trial membership, though. I suppose I'd be willing to put up $3 to offer the items to members rather than just throwing them on CL.

I finally decided to pony up because I realized I've gotten over $12 worth of good advice per year from hanging out here and thought I'd help support the forum. I haven't sold anything yet, but I have posted 'wanted's in the for-sale section, nice to know I can when I want to.

Haha, fine, I'll just get a membership!
But does part of my membership fee have to go to the FG/SS forum too?
