Track bike by Betrand (Hull, QC)
Hello all,
One of my favorite bike shops is 'Cycles Bertrand' in Hull, QC (near Ottawa). For those who don't know, this shop built some really nice frames back in the day - and has recently been outshone by "G.M. Bertrand" or something of that nature, who sell Bertrand branded bikes made by Marinoni. In my opinion, these are nowhere near as nice as the original steelies, but I'm a sucker for metal.
In any case, I was browsing the shop the other day and noticed a picture of a woman pounding it out on a BERTRAND TRACK BIKE! I was quite excited to see that such a thing was ever made. I would love to get my hands on one, give it the love and attention it deserves, but I'm worried I'm on a wild goose chase.
Does anyone know anything at all about where I might find the elusive Bertrand track? Has anyone even seen one in the flesh? Am I dreaming?
