It'd be great if you could take some pics of it with a naked stripper on crack sitting on it. Any chance of that?

With the final price, I wish I'd kept it! Part of my thought process was that this was so pristine and valuable that I didn't want to kill its value by riding it or replacing parts. I figured I'd sell it and get a less pristine one, and the price differential would fund the restoration. Final selling price wasn't much different than any old Paramount. oh well, soft market and I should have done a few things differently.

Man, don't try to BS other BS'ers! :) You've flipped me before, and I really have no problem with it.

I think the selling price of the Paramount was pretty much in line with the market.

And some wood fenders.

Flippers need a union so we can gain more respect. Maybe something like: Flippers Union of Classic Klunkers. Wonder what our logo could be?

Kind of ironic to be talking about honor, wouldn't you say?

I agree with you.

There's someone else out there that actually wants that bike.

See there you go, flippers are in cahoots with dockworkers and teamsters and the mob. You hear it right from the horse's mouth...erm, keyboard. Just like the mob, they have their own version of honor, so don't cross them or you'll wake up with a threaded headset in your bed.

I was thinking more along the lines of something that plays on the word 'flipper'.

No, not a dolphin.

I don't think I have. Honestly. I remember getting wheels form you and they were on my Raleigh Intl and are going on the Professional.

One thing I DON'T do is take advantage of online communities. When we sell to one another we're doing it at friendly prices, not for flips.

i could hardy believe it when i saw the add, i have scored some great deals off of craigslist, but bikes like this at that price only pop up a couple of times a year. way to stay vigilant!

Somewhere a would be tourer/ commuter is crying since they have no bike to ride.

No, I just want to engender camaraderie and cooperation so we don't have to fight over the scraps left to us by the industrial giants.

The real moral dilemma is not how to honorably divide meager resources among the flipper class, but how to structure a more equitable relationship between us and the bicycle industry.

:D

As a union member for thirty years, I take exception to that remark. We have plenty of initiative, in fact I'm about to act on one now. BBM, as you 're a friend I'll ask you: right or left kneecap?

Oh wait...

what you can talk about someone whose name is rod polishing his equipment until your head explodes but you can't use the word for self-pleasure? good to know. I'm also sort of surprised you can say ass but not a certain feminine hygiene product.
