Out for the trash.

So recently someone was busted on the Boston Common for stealing and selling bikes. I live about a half mile from the Boston Common. At the top of the hill near my place is the Myrtle St. playground which I've featured once or twice before. Seems to be a last home for student bikes. Anyway these there bikes have been sitting unlocked next to the playground and no one to steal them . And that was after sitting on the fence all winter. Chains rusted solid.

Anyway, I think I might have to drive by tomorrow morning before 6 so that I can drop them off at Bikes not Bombs. Two of them are really not worth the trouble, the Taraka is similar to a bunch of replace parts on and sold for a few bucks. Not today though.

Put it on Freecycle. Got in trouble for not following protocol. Gone in an hour. At least I don't have to haul them to Bikes not Bombs.

That was my old haunting grounds back in the 80s. No bikes were safe back then.
