Nishiki Worth?

Hey everyone. I've found a couple Nishiki road bikes for sale on CL. Both are from the 80's, need new tires and both are selling for $100. Is that a fair price for them? Either way I will attempt to get the price down, but if they're not willing to budge on price and the tires are the only problem is $100 a good price for them?

Thanks for the help.

We need to know which model it is. The model year would also help. Pictures (left side, right side, etc.) would also help. Best way to view your question right now is, as an example ... "somebody is selling a ford on CL for $2,500. Is that a good deal?" You can edit your post, BTW, to include the necessary information and photos that will elicit knowledgeable responses.

You can also do your own price comparisons at ...

If they are road ready, even a cheap Nishiki is probably worth $100, but +1 on what cycleheimer said.

Sorry about the lack or information, but I don't know it which is why I didn't post it. But here's the CL link: http://sanantonio.craigslist.org/bik/2304241489.html

That's the best I can do for you

One is a Schwinn, but if both are in excellent shape than they look to be worth $100 each.

Probably an '80s Nishiki Rally... if so, pitch him for $70 if it is in otherwise excellent shape, and you really want it ...
it will need an overhaul + tires & brake pads ... the Rally (entry-level model) has steel rims, "stove pipe" frame, etc. ...

I don't think either bike is worth $100 if they aren't ready to roll without having to fix or replace a thing. I just bought a late 80s Nishiki Olympic ready to roll, needs nothing and is almost all original except for the usual consumables for $150. The one in the pic isn't it exactly but is the same year and model.

Give it some time... eventually a good deal will arise.
