First Year C-Record Question...
 

Hey there folks, just wondering how many of you have C-Record cranks with an '84 date code (4 in circle). Are they as uncommon as I think they are..? I haven't seen another set, but I haven't been searching... Just curious. I have this first generation, NOS take-off C-Record/Cobalto group from an '84/85 Merckx "funnybike". That frame didn't fit me, so it went away several years ago. :)

Mine aren't 84. One set has a square with 92 inside the square while the other set has a square with 42 on the inside of the square.

I have a set...I didn't even know they were 84' until you asked but I checked and they have the number 4 in a circle. They came on a Team Miyata that Oregon Southpaw helped me to acquire.

I think mine is that early.

OK... So maybe not as uncommon as I'd thought. Guess I'll just find a frame to hang it on and use it. :)
