20" hawthorne tandem?
 

bought this one off craigslist, fixed it up without knowing much about it. has all original part except the wheels and tires, and new paint. about whats the year on this bike? and what it would sell for if i was to sell it? in picture does not have chain or chaingaurd, but they are both on bike now. all answers are appreciated.http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...er7/tandem.jpg

Nah, there's people who really go for this kind of thing. The one's Schwinn made sell for a lot, but then rotten avacados are collectable if they're Schwinn Approved.

That is one weird thing. Well, it's not really collectible with a repaint. But it's just funky enough. If you can't sell it, convert it into a longtail cargo bike for a 12-year-old. Or a recumbent.

Actually, there's a lot of rare parts on a 20" tandem. My kids would kill for it.

I'd love to see that thing set up as a kids' tandem, with regular seats and regular handlebars. I'm not a fan of the ape hangers and banana seat style. Even so, it's pretty cool.

pull the front seat, put on even longer ape hangers and ride it from the stokers seat.
