Any American or Japanese steel frame will work. If your frame is to big then take note as to were you want it smaller IE: top tube x lenght would be better than Y. What do you like?. Maybe different seatpost and 27" versus 700c but that's about it. If you like the older frames then watch for a Trek, nicer Raleigh's, Schwinn's ect. with the 531 tubing or good Cromoly tubing, not the 1020 or 2040 steel tubing. If you want more modern then aluminum or early Trek carbon but will need a front deraileur, and possibly a longer rear axle as well. Here in Seattle bikes as described are usually around $250 -$500 depending on components. I missed an early 80's Viner Italian race bike with Campy, Ofmega,Madolo mix that was cherry for $300. OBO.
