Brooks pro vs Brooks Swift

I need a saddle for my new build. I've been looking at the Brooks Swift and Brooks Pro. I ride the pro but have never been on a Swift. What are the Differences?

I don't have measurements but the Swift "feels" narrower to me...less supportive maybe but still comfortable enough for long rides. And the Ti Swift is very light to boot. Never had a Ti Pro.

I recently got a great deal on a used Ti Swift, so I put it on my Ti bike. It replaced a cromoly framed Brooks Professional. I think both saddles are great, although I haven't done more than 15 miles at a time on the Swift saddle since it was installed. It feels comfortable, and I'm sure I'll keep it. The Professional is now on my Italian steel bike and I'm going to enjoy having it there. I don't think you can go wrong with either saddle.

Mike,

I have a used titanium frame & rails Swift on my Atlanta bike. I've only ridden it once for 20 miles and it felt great. Next week I'll get to put it through a real test on a few short rides in GA and then for 3 days and 160 miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. If you can hold off until after May 2, I should be able to give you a good sense of the ride "feel."

BTW, I ride several different new Professionals, a B-17, an Ideale, and now a new Brooks Colt here in NH, and find them all to be comfortable right out of the box. As you can see, the Swift is nicely broken in.

Thanks for all the responses. I've always wanted a Brooks Swift. I already have a B17 Special in Honey color, Black Brooks team Pro, and a B17 Special Flyer in Black on my Mountain Bike. Looks Like I'm getting a Brooks Swift For my Raleigh 753r Team bike.

I think you've made a great choice.

I favor the Swift for long distance rides, and is my saddle of choice for our 700 and 300 mile rides this summer.

I've been using this saddle on our Saturday distance rides this spring, and I love it.

I hope the Swift works as well as the Pro I run on the Sampson... I just picked up (2) lightly used Ti ones for my Spectrum and Meech builds.
