Schwinn Cimarron

I picked this Schwinn Cimarron up yesterday, headbadge has 3197 on it. I was wondering about the fork, it looks bent, but every other pics of bike online all have a weird fork bend. Sorry about crappy cell pics, will have better ones tomorrow.

It looks damaged to me. Here's another one to compare to:

Even with yours it seems to have a slight back bend towards the top.

LT how does your bike handle, what purpose do you mostly use yours for. I was thinking about making mine into a tourer.

Built on the 319th day of 1987 so it might be a 1988 model. The fork is definitely bent. Roger

Our CO-OP has a pile of older schwinn mtb forks to pick from. If I remember right there is a nice chrome one I think will look good on it. I hope it has the dual fork tip braze-ons.

Just curious, but do these bikes seem like they have similar geometry of a LHT.
