I'll ask my brother.
I do have one too, but it has some frame issues after I got hit, and the back wheel needs work.

It keeps rolling away from the camera when they try to photograph it.

Here's a pic of the Rolls I took tonight. I asked my brother to take a picture of his, and when he sends it I'll post it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/5885925...55359872/show/

This forum seems to be more interested in the low-end bikes so I have deleted the link.
Good luck!

I'll tag this thread and add this.

I had a ROLLS similar to the one above but mine was white/blue instead of blue/white. Mine had the same Ballila brakes, same crank, same stem. I'm sure my seat was different but I don't remember what it was. I believe it ended its service wearing a Brooks B-17.

My derailleur was also different than the one shown above. I think it originally came with a Campagnolo Valentino but that got swapped out pretty quickly for several others. It wore a Huret Duopar at one point and a few others. This was the beauty of a claw-mounted derailleur - you weren't locked into a certain pattern due to the dropout.

The shop owners, Bill's Bicycles in Richmond Hill, NY, had a matched pair of full-race ROLLS in the baby blue color (like the one above). Those bikes had some drillium, color infill, pantograhping, etc. Those were special bikes. If I could find that bike, I'd buy it in a heart beat. It, they, are out there,... somewhere.

He's had the cassette changed, which is something he regrets.
I remember having problems with my cassette, too. It wobbled, and I remember bringing it back a few times; it may have been replaced as well.
I'll let you know if he wants to sell, but I doubt he will. He's a one-bike man.

I just bought a Rolls that looks exactly like the one in the pics. I'm new to working on bikes myself so please bear with me on terminology. Last night, while trying to change the gear cables, I found that the knob on the end of the cable that keeps it inside the shifter on the down tube (not sure what that part of the cable is called), did not fit into the slot it was given. When I compared the new cable with the old, I noticed that the 'knobs' were different shapes. The new ones is the shape of a piston and the old one is the shape of a lollipop. Is there a way to deal with this, or do I need to get some new parts? Also, if I need to change out the rear derailleur, what type of derailleurs are compatible with a bike this old? It is a ten speed. Any info would be much appreciated as I am almost, but not completely, lost. Thanks.

Cyclesport was mentioned earlier in the thread. I didn't know they added their name to the bike.
Nice bike.

I was thrown off by the Simplex hardware....the other Rolls I have has Campi....I contacted Cyclesport via email and received this reply from Mike.....my original email to him is posted on bottom:

Jack,

My best guess is '73. It appears to be all original.

Best of luck,

Mike

Are simplex derailers original?
Anything that may not be original?

This is 2nd Rolls bike I own and I don’t ever remember seeing them in white….I thought they were all blue with white lettering

Thank you,

Jack

I just purchased a 1964 White Rolls. Got it for a song. It looks to be all original parts in really fine shape. However I can't locate any clovers. It looks exactly like the ones in the photos supplied in this thread. Could this bike have been made prior to the clovers be used?
