Fuji Royale II (what should I know?)
I bought a Fuji Royale II (47CM) with Valite tubing, in extremely good condition. I am female and the top tube seems to be shorter than what I have experienced with most men's bikes. Can anyone tell me anything about this model? How old it might be?

I was a courier in the mid and late eighties and the Royale II was one of the preferred rides...reliability and adaptabilty being its' best features. Of course we stripped the bike down loc-tited a cog and rode them fixed...(no one had bucks for a track hub and rebuilt wheel). These bikes were really popular until Fuji came out with the Tiara and early Cannondales (gigantic downtubes, superstiff, crit geometry)
became the bikes du jour.

Hey, still have your Royal II? A friend of mine picked one up too small for her but might fit me. It DOES have nice lines. What did you do to yours?
