A little Schwinn/Paramount mountain bike help please.

I know that this is useless without pics but my camera is dead. I just picked up an early 90's Series 90 pdg. My buddy had one back in the day and I always liked it. It has the red, white, and blue paint, full suntour xc pro components, but instead of Paramount on the downtube and front fork tubes it says Schwinn. It does have the P on the head tube. According to the previous owner, he purchased it when living in Italy. (I know why buy and American/Japanese bike in Italy). The serial number is 1EO1955. Can anyone tell me what year it is? Thanks.

From some of the information I have you need to look at the head badge. If there are 4 digits on the badge that is your date code. First 3 are days of the year (250th day), Last # is the year of the decade. So 2508 is the 250th day of 78' or 88' or 98'. If someone knows I have this screwed up let me know, I know Schwinn has a lot of different ways of marking there bikes.

AFAIK, the Series 90 was only red, white, blue in 91

Scooper, I would say exactly like that. That is exactly what my friend had. This is exactly like it but insted of saying Paramount on the down tube and forks, it says schwinn. I wonder if that is something different for models that were sold outside of the states.

Any everything seams to be in pretty good shape and original to the bike, so it should clean up well.
