What is this?
Picked this up for $6 to use for parts (brakes, deraileurs, handlebars, etc) and thought I should take a few shots before I take it apart and send the frame to the recyclery. It looks like early 70's department store something. . . Any guesses on what it might be?

It's a deeply low end AMF/Roadmaster bike in poor condition that happens to have super cool headlights.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America...ne_and_Foundry They can be pretty and functional when in good condition. But this one isn't really. You could fix it up with a lot of oxalic acid and elbow grease, but don't think about making any money on it. Most people here will tell you to secure your boat with it. I would harvest the headlights, though. http://www.biketype.com/pics/5496/fu...admaster_1.jpg |
Very cool headlights. I say clean them up and put some LEDs in there.

Seems like AMF owners know little about proper cable routing.

I think that model was a special run of promo bikes for Hooters.
