Did a metric century today
 
Guy I ran into on a nice Davidson had a small, red lantern hanging from his seat. I asked him what that was for. He said they award the red lantern for the last place in the Tour de France.

Now I want one.

Googled up some images, even found a vintage one, and found this blurb about a three-time-winner (loser? ) of the award with a pic of him holding it:

do they come any smaller? that seems like a big lantern to dangle off my saddle rails.
