Miele Road Bike
Just bought (tonight) this Miele Latina 14 speed. It has full Campy Athena grouppo, including hubs, headset, aero seatpost, brakes, brake levers, cranks, bottom bracket, FD and RD. The rear rim is a Mavic replacement, the front an original Ambrosio. They sort of match, but I'll eventually match them up better.
Chrome Columbus fork and the frame is likely Columbus, though there is no sticker. Since it has Campy bits on it, I'm betting it probably is Columbus. Feels pretty light, maybe 22 lbs. or so at 56 cm. I haven't measured it, but the PO says it was a 56. Seems to be.
I didn't get a smoking hot deal, but given the nice condition of the components I am eminently satisfied. Don't want to, but I'm sure I could double my money. This one is a keeper. I'll post better pics when I get back to St. Louis.
In the meantime, anyone have any idea what year? I haven't done any research yet, but it is a Miele Latina and is a purple color. PO says he thinks it might be early '90s. Downtube shifters are friction-only. Oh, the stem is Cinelli and the bars are Ambrosio with internal brake cable routing and the top tube of the frame has internal routing.
Here are the pics I took off of the original ad.
Any input appreciated!

awesome find!
my miele also has an ambrosia front rim and mavic rear, but they were both original (the ambrosia is aluminium, the mavic is steel) so your mismatched rims may not be so mismatched afterall.

I found a link to a Miele catalog, but the link didn't work. Do you happen to have a link that might work? I just got the bike, but I'm already in love.....

The hubs on mine are both original. The PO says the rear rim was damaged and his LBS suggested the Mavic. It is alloy however. It is a brownish bronze color whereas the front is a more golden brown color. They obviously aren't a matched set, but don't look too bad either. The tires are mismatched right now. When I fix that, I might just leave the rims be.
