Here's a Trek 311 that came in as a donation to the Iowa City Bike Library. By looking at the chainrings, we figured this thing probably had fewer that 100 miles on it!

Thanks I agree, the bar wrap looks just right to me. So far so good with the longboards, they seem quite sturdy for how long they are.

IMO- you've got the thread "won" even if you never ever post that bike ever again. But please keep posting pictures.

It has a dent in the top tube, the paint is scratched, and it's hot pink, but it's mine! '84 850. Reynolds 531 All Terrain. Ser. #119404. Nothing is original. Same color and decal scheme as the '85 770.

Hi Brazuka - Nice Treks. I plum ran out of Treks to post here, so I guess I'll just have to run out and get some more.

Treks are a great indoctrination to vintage bikes. - Often underrated, the steel Treks from this era are undervalued as well, and quite the equivalent of the better european marques.

(BTW - Drive side photos are the standard protocol here!)

1984 Trek 510, 54cm, full Campagnolo Triomphe group (everything minus the freewheel, stem and handlebars), all factory original (minus tires). This bike is 9.5/10, super clean, factory original and complete (I added the Wrights saddle), a couple chips in the paint, components are in top notch condition. I scored it on CL a few months ago.

What do you think?
(I need some better pics)

I don't think I've posted this in this thread. Here is my '83 620. I really like the ride of this bike. I replaced the 27'' wheels with some Mavic A319/Tiagra hub wheelset. The paint is in great shape; decals are a little rough but I got some replacements from Velocals for when they finally bite the dust.

It seems to being raining Treks these days. What’s up with that?

I rebuilt an ’83 560 some time ago which I’ll stick a pic of (hopefully, I haven’t already.), more recently I’ve had the experience of owning an ‘88 Trek 400T with a nasty dent in the TT that I will be donating to a worthy cause, and an ’83 500 that is in progress. That last pic of the 500 is stolen from the sellers post, I just bought the frame.

I'm digging that last one. Is it a 650B conversion? The wheels look a little small to me and those look like long reach centerpull calipers.
