That's the one. At the small end of my comfort range, so we will see if it sticks around. Putting some tubes and tires on this week and going for a test ride. I hope it is acceptable, it's really in nice shape.

I think that is what Trek called 22.5 inches and we call 56cm for some reason. It looks to be the same size as mine and I measured it to be 56cm. Anyhoo it's a fine bike, you did well.

Also interesting is the fact that Trek had no problem specing Specialized components. Pretty sure that would not happen today....

Latest version of the 1982 613. Just got the Brooks B17 with the copper rivets, A Tanaka cage and some MKS BM-7s to match. In the process of doing the bar end conversion with some Rivendell Silvers but waiting on the correct size cable stop.

Yea, I really hate using my phone for taking pictures. Once the right size cable stop gets here and I will get some outdoor pictures in good lighting.

I suppose I should take the opportunity to show off the newly re-set up 1985 Trek 620.
I did a Nitto Dirt Drop stem and 44cm Noodle bars. I used the Jagwire "titanium" housing for the shifters, but there wasn't enough brake housing, so that was done with the Jagwire grey. Still with the 6sp Command Shifters. I love those things.
Replaced the XC Pro RD with an XC Comp (Shimano 6sp FW) and the stock Sachs/Huret FD.
This is just an unruly cool bicycle that I'm really happy about.

I thought that too- as it's not a straight shot in to the RD. I can't remember where I read it, the Accushift stuff is supposed to have between 28-30cm of housing. I was going by that- I realize that it's entirely dependent on where the cable stop (or exiting the chainstay) is on that particular bike.
I'll trim that up today.

From what I know of, there's 2 basic styles that mount to the fork dropouts. There's the single, center strut that mounts straight on to the fork crown- it' would mount behind caliper brakes.
Then there's what I refer to as the 'wrap around' rack. That goes around either side and mounts to the back of the fork crown. The hole in my fork crown is actually threaded, so I have my rack mounted with a screw threaded into the fork- otherwise a regular bolt would go through and thread on.
