Not classic, vintage, or particularly good looking... but it is a Trek... mostly.

My latest project, nearly finished. 1982 710. Handlebar wrap will be light blue, matching the seat tube panel. I did change the seat, pedals and brake levers. Everything else seems to be original.

I finally had some spare time to get my Trek 710 finished up. Now I need some decent weather to take it for a test ride. I've only taken it around the block a few times so far.

Wow, that's a good present. I'm partial to the '85's. Still had the tasteful graphics, and a wide variety of framesets and components. Went south for the steel bikes soon after.

The whole family has Trek except the oldest as she has a C'dale. Doesn't help that I worked at a Trek Dealership. lol. Youngest has a pink 12" Mystic, son has a MT60, wife has a FX 7.5 and I have a Stache 8.

Still would like to find something made by our own John Thompson.

White seat and white bar tape? Or keep the black seat and use blue bar tape to match the head tube and seat tube decal?

The more I look the more breathtaking they become.....WOW! This ^^^ isn't a bike--it's a work of art.

1983 Trek 630
This is "before" picture. Just picked it up today. It has just a scratch here and there, but otherwise clean and original, except it has an Alivio rear derailler and some funny knobby tires. Can't wait to get started on it!

My "new to me" 1994 Trek 2120. I still can't believe I only paid $100 for it. I got it a few days ago and was hoping to flip it after replacing the handlebar tape. But the bike is exactly my size and I think the purple on the frame did something to me and now I'm planning to keep it. I ripped off the old handlebar to adjust the brake levers. Most of the parts on this bike, if not all, are original. The handlebar is a little wider than what I'm used to so it has to go. I'm not a big fan of the barcon shifter so I'm thinking about getting a pair of downtube shifters. There is minimal scratch on the frame and most of the decals are still intact, except for the "CARBON" decal on one side of the main tube is pretty much gone. It's hard to believe a 20 year-old bike is still in tip-top condition.

The purple on this bike can be mesmerizing, especially under the sun.

As I've mentioned recently, while taking a pass on several very lovely older Steel bikes available recently in San Diego, including a beautiful 1985 Waterford Paramount, I had been saving up for a Carbon Fiber road bike with a modern drivetrain. My search ended last night, with my having bagged this locally on CL, in my size, for a screaming bargain price: A Trek Y-Foil 77:

Not sure this qualifies as vintage, but I do believe it's a classic:

Some incredible vintage Treks! Love those paint schemes and and decals from the 70's and 80's,

Here's my first real bike, a '90 Trek 750 Multitrack (lugged True Temper) I purchased new in college. It started life as a flat bar hybrid with the nauseating bright green graphics, and was converted to drop bars in the '90s (Suntour Command shifters). Upgraded the drivetrain to Ritchey Logic Mountain cranks with 50/38/26T (Suntour Sakae Ninja stainless steel small ring). Ugraded to Velocity A23 wheels Shimano 105 hubs (8sp) with Shimano Ultegra bar-ends a few years ago. Graphics have been blacked-out and I lined the lugs, but the head badge remains.

This bike has served me well since, including 8 D2R2s, the Honey One Hundred, Inaugural F2G2, Great River Ride. Shown below in "Winterando" and D2R2 dirt/gravel/trail configurations.

I love this bike and will never part with it!

This is a 614 with a 1979 serial number, the fork was trashed when I got it off CL (amazingly enough). Came with the Arabesque group minus the cranks so I had to splurge for those. With the 27 inch wheels and 1 1/4 Pasela's its just a little too big for me but rides very smooth. Those are VO thumb mounts with the 600 levers.
