I think the previous photo hosting website is no good. So, i'm having another crack. A new to me bike that i found in a pile of hard rubbish outside of a home near to my place. The serial number is a little hard to read, but i think it's a 1982 Trek 957 (if i'm wrong, i would love to find out what she is). I am pretty sure it used to be white/blue and has been painted in grey/blue. Campagnolo groupset and Cinelli bar and stem. I have only cleaned her up, replaced the old tyres and bar tape.
Originally planned to just get her working, but everything already worked perfectly. It's such a nice ride and has become my daily ride.
Congratulations!
And welcome to the forum.

The 957 was white with Dura Ace, in 1981 they had a 959 with Campy that was silver. Very, very nice find. Appears to be original.

That silver 950 series is great. Here's one that looks just like it that sold on eBay a while back.

She's just a really nice bike to ride. I don't know what you call it, but one of the screw doohickeys on the rear drop out has broken. I adjusted the other one so they were both at the same position. The wheel spins nice and true. The brake pads are the same sort that, I suspect, came with the bike. Maybe even the original pads. The rubber was a little hard, so i just took them and scored the pad on concrete and now the brakes work fine. Being an aussie, our brakes are the other way about than the bike has now, i.e our bikes have the left hand operate rear brake. My bike is not set up for aussie braking conditions, but i will probably leave it that way.
This is my first drop bars road bike, so i've never previously had the experience of shifting on the brake levers. Shifting on the down tube, whilst a little clunky, is not something i find inconvenient. I'm really enjoying looking at all of the pictures of your fabulous looking bikes.

I've got the same frame and am almost done building it up. Pics coming soon. Serial number on mine checks out as an '82 950. Vintage-trek.com shows our frame was the color scheme offered for the frame-only 950 in 1982. Congratulations, it's a beautiful bike.

86 Trek 400 Elance 19"
Picked this up for 195 bucks yesterday as a craigslist find, runs well as it is, it's set up 7 speed shimano indexing. I'm gonna strip it down have the rear cold set to 130mm spacing and build it back up as 9 speed Sugino triple, long cage shimano Deore rear DR, 11/34 cassette, Microshift Bar end shifters, technomics stem, Nitto Randonneur bars, Rivet Pearl saddle and a 650b wheelset, fenders and rack. Have everything new hoarded and ready to go on but the wheelset and long reach brakes. Gonna be a rainy day putterer project for this winter. Building it for my girlfriend.
Not the best photo, it's the sellers pic.

It is nice. I found it on ebay in the unsold list, contacted the seller to see if it was still available and it was. It also was 100 or so miles away from me. The seller went to visit family in Mays Landing NJ and brought the bike there- a mere 60 miles from me, I drove down and picked it up.

1989 Trek 660
I think this is an 89 - the serial number starts with 535 which would be 1990 according to vintage-trek, however there was no 660 in the catalog that year.

That's a REALLY nice bike. Think of it this way- it's butted 531 in the main frame tubes, and I think it's Tange CrMo in the fork and stays... that's a seriously quality frame- a really good bike as is- and a great frame for a platform to build on.

@1Mule, great looking base for a build. Looks like you got it all thought out, so I'm looking forward to the after shots. Haha. I've built a few smaller treks up for shorter women. Being in the Midwest, the smaller sizes seem easier to find.

Get that bike out in the sun- I love the depth and sparkle to that blue.
IMO- it's one of the best looking bikes evAr. Such a beautiful blue, the silver of the head tube and lug windows, the decal scheme is PERFECT for this color scheme.
Again, it's a 531/CrMo bike, much much better than an "entry level" bike.
With mine, I replaced most of the components with higher end and top of the line parts, Avocet touring triple crank, Suntour XC Pro and XC Comp, and Shimano 600/Ultegra. A couple of things you may need to look out for- the bike needs longer reach brakes. When I put the TriColor 600 brakes on, they didn't have the reach for 700c wheels. Because I REALLY wanted to use the TriColor brakes- I actually changed the bike to 27" wheels! The other goofy brake thing is that the front is recessed but the rear is nutted.
