Where to find small stuff?
I need a new set of hoods for some 105 aero levers. a set of jockey pulleys for my Deore xt... i think it's a M750. What chain works best with this one and is it a 6 or 7 speed design> the one on my Stumpy is a 6. I want to replace the 6 that is on the Trek with a 7 but will replace either way as it is worn. The bike has SIS 105 dt shifters now. Which freewheel do you recommend?
And some caps for these SR pedals. Also I heard that you should use lined cable with 105 what is the best. Thanks! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../th_006-27.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../th_003-30.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../th_002-31.jpg |
I assume Loose Screws does not have what you seek. You can probably find suitable substitutes for name brand jockey pulleys, and I have been able to find aftermarket non-aero Weinmann brake lever hoods at CyclArt.
I do not think I need to say this to this particular audience, but I always save the small bits when I discard a worn-out or broken subassembly. My current Bianchi has the steel lockring from my 1962 Bianchi (to replace the nicked aluminum original), and I replaced Capo #2's missing Agrati quill pedal dustcap with one I salvaged from Capo #0's pedals, after I broke the frame. |
