Let's all watch Phoenix CL or surrounding areas for the bike. Worth a try.

That really sucks.

By any chance is it covered in a homeowner's/renter's policy? There could be a silver lining if so.

Soooo sad to hear about any bike getting stolen, much less something like that. Set up a google alert and some kind of CL alert.

yup, if you have receipts or something I'd think you can claim it on home owners insurance.

That's terrible and good luck with your search!
I hope you get it back.
Remember to look out for the parts for sale as well in case they strip it to sell piece by piece.

A picture would probably be enough. Farmer's Insurance didn't even ask me for that, just a list of what I lost. They can't expect us to have receipts for all of our belongings.

Thanks Tom.

Folks, let's be vigilant and watch CL and ebay for a month or two. Maybe longer.

This nice bike may go under wraps for a while, but the thief will eventually try to sell this bike.

We have to watch folks, and very closely.

I know this bike, having facilitated for OFG when he bought it in my neck o' the woods a while back.

It is a singular beautiful bike, in stunning cosmetic condition. Damn.

That's just awful. Was just the bike taken or was it part of a broader burglary? Reason I ask is that might be a clue as to what sort of lowlife you're dealing with.

I'm dealing with a bike thief, that this 60 YO has no problem having him sleep w/OBL

The bike was the only thing taken. I was out of the attached garage for less than 5 minutes. There were wheels, other bikes, MP3 players, tools, garage door openers, etc within easy reach. I was in my car within minutes, looking for the thief.

First theft in this neighborhood in 6 years.
