Sturmey Archer SRF3 HUB
So I bought a new sturmey archer hub from Niagra and when i got it is not going to fit in my frame my raleigh is a spaced at 120 and this hub looks like IT is 130. there is no way this thing is going to fit, I could probally respace the frame but im not really wanting to. I thought it was going to fit but no.
Do they offer that hub in different sizes?
I bought it at Niagra cause it was way cheaper than other places online.
any help or suggestions?

The SA website offers technical information on the various models including O.L.D.
I did not peruse all of them but I did notice that their current version of the venerable AW is 127 not 120.

Yes, the SRF3 comes in 3 different axle lengths and each length has a different O.L.D.
https://www.sturmey-archer.com/produc.../id/17/specs/1
175mm axle = Over Locknut Dimension - 127mm
163mm axle = Over Locknut Dimension - 117mm
148mm axle = Over Locknut Dimension - 108mm
I did the same conversion with a Kilo TT track frame with a 120mm rear spacing. I have the 163 w/ 117 O.L.D. added 2 spacers to get 120mm.

spacing frames out is really no big deal if its steel (which I assume it is). Its a Raleigh, not a 3Rensho...just take it to an LBS and have them space it to 130. I've had my LBS do my Super Course and my '39 Dawes. Both came out perfectly and for under 20 bux.
