Downtube cable stops?

Since Ive decided to not run downtube shifters, Im on the hunt for cable stops for my downtube.
Are the ones that campy makes designed for this purpose.
Im new to this idea and not sure what will work.

Thanks

The newer Campy ones and the newer Shimano ones do about the same thing. The Campy just generally cost more.

Also be sure to match the profile of the stops to the shifter bosses properly, some are flat, some are curved.

I'm about to do the same thing on the Marinoni - it seems that these do not come with the little bolts. Any sources for these? I know I could hunt around for some stainless bolts that meet the correct spec, but one would think the stops would include matching bolts.......

I recall getting some Problem Solvers shifter boss covers, which did not include the bolts. This created more of a problem than it "solved" ;)

I ordered some of the campy ones off ebay.

Hopefully theyll work out for me.

My shimano stops came with bolts.

they should come with bolts, if they don't I would just head to True Value for some StainlessSteel M5 screws (same as a water bottle boss but watch the length)

Try asking your friendliest LBS if they have some of these in their spare parts bin---they may let you have them for a few bucks. Make sure they give you a left and a right and the correct boss profile, though.

Many LBS's have upgraded shifters, etc, for customers, without swapping out the cable stops.
They may have a small ziploc bag lying around with a pair of those in it, including bolts.
Many times, the bag is green. I don't know why.

I picked up two sets that way. Though I know the LBS paid nothing for them,
I didn't blink and forked over the $10 for each set.
Not my business how they got 'em, so I paid and was glad of it.
If the shop had said $20, then I'd have gone elsewhere.
