So what I am reading is that I MUST go out and get a new helmet since mine is about 10 years old. And when my wife see me with the brand new shiny one on I can point to this study and thread? I wonder if that would work for other goodies such as bikes, parts, clothing, etc?

It certainly seems to work for womens shoes and purses. All is fair.......

It won't work!
All she will think of is just C&Ver you multiplied by a hundred........
Imagine, people who constantly argue about what color tire sidewalls should be on a C&V race bike and most that would still bind their feet on to pedals with plastic and leather straps telling you when you should buy your next high tech helmet??......... Tell her some young compact frame CF bike enthusiast/athlete told you to do so instead!
