Looking for brake pad L-brackets
I'm not even sure what to call these but some of the older raleighs had them on the back brakes. they were little L-brackets that went between the caliper and the brake pads and then had an L-shape so they pushed onto the seat-stays when the brakes pushed forward under load.
I've got an old Flying Jet Ralieigh licensed copy bike made by the Dutch, and the brake bridge is just NOT up to the task of keeping the brake caliper straight out back. It wants to twist and bend the bridge and the brake pads end up inside the seat stays and won't open back up again far enough and rub.
I've put half-moon washers on the brake mounting bolt on both the front and the rear and still it is having this issue. I guess I could fabricate up my own if necessary but was wondering if there was a source for these old things?
