What Size Seat Post for an old Fuji Espree?
Picked up a frame with wheels, bars and crankset but missing the seat and seatpost. I know the diameter is critical. Think the bike dates from the late 70s or early 80s. Any ideas? Also where best to obtain?

The Espree was made from 83 to 85. It appears to use a different version of Valite every year. Check which version you have and it will help narrow it down.

There is a tool for checking seat post size. It's a tapered tube with common seat post size markings and it's dropped into the seat tube and the size can be read off the tube. Your friendly LBS might have one. If you are near or in the R.I. area, a friend of mine has one. PM if you can't find out the size by other means.
