Raleigh Grand Prix - Aluminum?
I was in an LBS here the other day ( where I found and bought a Miyata One-Thousand Frame and fork) and noticed a Raliegh Grand Prix hanging on the wall.
Thing that caught my eye is that it is Aluminum, polished AL finish and says "Aluminum" along the top top tube.
Looks pretty standard Raleigh fare beyond that, looks like mid to late '80's.
Anyone have any idea when the Grand Prix went Al??

My dad swears the Grand Prix he bought in '75 (my commute bike) is an aluminum frame... I'm pretty sure he's wrong though. He also says the rims are aluminum and I see rust on them.
