I don't see anything conclusive (serial number or better view of the dropouts) to indicate it is. Could easily be a Professional in team paint.

If it's 753, it's Ikelston for sure...but I don't see the 753 decal...also don;t see the ikelston labels on the stays.
My Pro used a 27.2 post, so that's a definite sign..I did not notice that.

This is I am sure is a reasonably early Ilkeston built 753 frame - all the details are correct - 753 Ilkeston frames have fork stiffiners on the inside of the fork blades, 531 Ilkeston frames do not...

753 on the forks and top of seat tube (purpley colour) and Ilkeston stickers (you can just make them out) behind the chain rings on the main pic..
very hard to make out but that's what made me think it is - perhaps i could make it fit?

I think you folks have much sharper eyes than me...I just don't see the details you guys are seeing. I'm sure my color blindness doesn't help.

Mostly Mischief
Number hanger, oval transfers on chainstays, what Hilary says about fork tangs, slight purple tinge to tubing decals, sellers info re 753...
Ilkeston, fer sur.
But it's all of pure academic interest, as seller presently is not shipping this beauty anywhere.

I keep looking at the photos, and I don't see a number hanger, I can barely see decals, I don't see fork tangs...sheesh.
Aren't there British courrier services that could be used? Granted, it would cost, but I'd think the pick up only drops frame price enough to compensate.
