Need help identifying this Schwinn Bike
Can any of you experts help me narrow down the exact make/model/year of this bike? I know it is a Chicago-built Schwinn and most likely a Stingray Lil-Chik but I want to make sure. I also am not sure how to figure out what year the bike is, even though I have the serial number. I tried looking up the serial number on the various Schwinn Serial Number sites but no luck:

Serial Number (KC18525) - I couldn't find that KC was a valid combination so this has me confused. Thanks!

Why is that not a valid combination? KC = October 1967.

Thanks Beach Comber! I should have clarified - when I went to the various sites, they would show the valid prefixes and I wasn't seeing KC anywhere. So this looks to be a 67 Schwinn Stingray Lil-Chik? That wouldn't make sense though because I think Lil Chik's were only made between 71 - 85 but the body style seems to be a Lil Chik. Maybe something else?

Although the frame was stampled in 67, it probably is a 68 model. This seems to match it - or what left of it:

schwinn also had a "slik chik" girls sting-ray from 65-71. i still have my 65 lime, 67 violet, 67 coppertone, 69 sky blue, 70 white, and 71 campus green slik chiks, all in very good 100% original condition, a couple are in mint condition! i was THE biggest slik chik freak! yours has a slik chik front fender but the back looks like a fair lady fender, slik chiks had a wider s-2 rim on the back while the fair ladys had a s-7 like the front.

oh yes i forgot, your frame was a 3 speed frame, i can tell by the brake bridge. look closely at your chain guard you might be able to see a ghost of the old screen print lettering
