Compatability Question (Nishiki to Raleigh)

Hello everyone. I am trying to fix a few "mistakes" that I recently purchased. 1st "mistake" was a Raleigh Grand Prix that has seen seriously better days. She has a bent fork and everything except the frame is crap except the center pull brakes. The second "mistake" is a Nishiki Century that found its way home to me. It had decent group components but the frame was bent. I made a jig and straightened the Nishiki frame, buy I'm not sure if I trust it enough to build it up or not....

So, my question is how compatable are the Sugino cranks that came on the Nishiki with the Raleigh? Also, is it considered criminal to put a Suntour shifter group on a vintage British bike? Is it possible to use the Nishiki fork with the Raleigh?

Anyone?.....

What year is the Grand Prix and/or when was it made? If it's one of the Made-in-Japan or -Taiwan Raleigh USA bikes, it might fit; if it's an old Made-in-Nottingham Raleigh, less likely.

I'm going to tear it apart tonight. I'm going to try to use the Nishiki bb spindle with the Raleigh cups. It's a crappy bike, but I think I can work out a good beater with the leftovers in the garage.
