Mavic Crankset Question
So I'm finally getting around to salvaging stuff off my lunched Tommasini Diamante:
I'm thinking to put the cranks on another bike - I have the triple adapter for these (not shown..) and what is purportedly the correct Mavic bb for using these as triples.
These are very nice bottom brackets, but they require a 45 degree chamfer in the bottom bracket shell. Doesn't seem like the sort of thing the average bike shop would be able to do around here.
Does anyone know who in the DC area may be able to do this?

There was a special tool that Mavic supplied, but I've heard of people making their own chamfer with just a hand file. Not for the ham-fisted amateur, but anybody with a good hand and eye should be able to make an adequate 45º bevel in the ends of a cylinder...and it doesn't need to go all the way to the outer edge for the BB to seat.

So that's why the BB shell on my Team Miyata is faced so strangely.
