Ross deluxe-any info wanted

Hi everyone, new to this site- this is my first post.
I was looking for a vintage Schwinn this weekend and at a flea market I came across a vintage Ross Deluxe bike in good condition for $75. Appears to be late 50's or early 60's to me. Very little rust, solid original paint, very cool. I want to know more info as to age and model, and have already researched this site and others but am hitting a wall. I know the history of the company, how it moved to Allentown PA, etc (which is why I bought the bike- I live two hours away).

The serial number is 5790833 (stamped under the crank area). I hope that means it's from 1957, but I dont know for sure. The metal tag on the front of the frame says Ross Chain Bike Corp, Rockaway Beach, NY. Its got a Delta Winner light on the front, with a metal basket stamped Androck. The seat is stamped Troxel made in the USA. Other than that, I didnt find any other ID marks. The tires are old Goodyear Wingfoot 175's. It's a 26" girl's bike.

Took it to the bike shop today to have them replace tires, the guy said it's a good solid bike and I didnt get ripped off. I'd like to know what you think about it, and also what the age is (how do I decipher Ross serial numbers?). What is the model name?
Thanks for your help.

Response from mr. Ross

I emailed Mr. Sherwood Ross and he told me my bike is a 1957, manufactured in Sept. I am awaiting a response from him to see if my bike had any other model name than "Deluxe".
I'm so excited that he actually responded!!!!
