Peugeot generator lights (fixes)
the lights do in fact work on my 79-80 peugeot. However, they pulse. If i apply slight pressure with my foot to the generator while in motion the illuminate well and have constant power. Any ideas on how this may be fixed?

Sounds like you need to change the angle of the mount.
It's on the seatstay, right? Loosen it, put it closer to the tire, and tighten it back up. |
clean and lube the spring+mount and make sure the angle is right.

From your description, it sounds like the generator is not making good contact with the bike frame. Most generators use the bike frame as one of the conductors, so check that the mounting bracket is contacting bare metal on the bike. Some generators have a set screw for that purpose. Or, you could run a two wire system from the generator to the light.

It could also be that the wheel is out of true, or that the tire is not seated properly .

thank you for the feedback i did get it adjusted it just needed a little bending to achieve better pressure against the tire. the lights work great!
