The 25" frame will limit his potential buyers. Too bad he didn't link to some photos as some prospects will see the lack of photos as a negative even though he offers to send pictures.

Par for the course on the Twin Cities' CL.

At least he listed the size.

Around here, a $1000 vintage bike would do the dead cat bounce, regardless of how much it was worth.

Bill, I paid $1300 for my eBay 1972 24" chrome Paramount five years ago and think it was a bargain. Of course, the bay area is a hotbed of vintage bike commerce and the it was in showroom condition.

Yes, on the high end stuff, there is plenty of demand on ebay. Here locally in Hooterville, any racing/road bike without STI over about $250 hits a brick wall. STI over about $400 hits that same wall (or maybe thats a different wall).

High end bike local prices tend to be 50% of ebay, OR LOWER. As a buyer, thats pretty nice, you can pick up some good to great stuff. As a seller, it sucks. When I picked up my Colnago Master Lite, it was about half of ebay, and it sat on our C/L for over two weeks. Guy admitted later that I was the only one that even replied to his ad.

The low end stuff is pretty close (local sale vs ebay). In fact, I have bought several bikes off the bay and resold them locally for a nice profit.

Given the heritage of many Minnesotans, doubt there's a shortage of tall riders, eh?

KLW2, that emblem, polished up, would look nice on the front of a chrome Paramount.

I'm just glad I already have a 25" chrome 11.8 Voyageur. It's certainly no Paramount but it's enough for now.

I'm not a native Minnesotan, but a military brat born in Walter Reed Hospital - Washington DC ..... so I'm somewhat shorter than anyone who would fit that bike!
I do have the emblem on a few things though......;-)

I'm tall and in Minnesota but a $1000.00 Paramount is WAY out of my price range

+1 Chrome 1970s Paramount for $1000 is a deal, but well outside my meager budget, and way too big anyway..... If it was on ebay, it would go for quite a bit more. A flipper could take a flyer on it.
