Is that a midfork lowrider rack mount? Nice looking frame with a long wheelbase. Nice platform for a touring rig.

Kuwahara has a good reputation around here and for $10 you did very well. The brakes are U-brakes and they were the in thing for about 1.5 years back in 1987. They tend to collect mud and dirt if you actually ride the bike off-road but are otherwise fine. This bike would make a great drop bar conversion or just lose the pedals and flip it. It would be a great commuter.

Kuwahara badged adult bikes are nearly all really cool and under valued. That said, I would pay $10 for almost anything, so you did very well.

Wouldn't pay more than $9.50.

The rear brake is probably a U brake. Cleaned up, tuned, with new cables I'd probably get $100 for that bike.

cool bike for $10.. i was just at salvation army and they had beat up roadmasters for $60

what are the components?

Big score for $10! That's a high quality ride from circa 1988 (U-brake). I'd have a hard time parting with it, nice enough to add to a personal fleet.

Cleaned up, it should sell well. I would keep it. I have a 1989 Univega with a U brake in the keeper fleet, they work fine.
