Brake calliper bolt

So I bought a KTM Strada R bike with Columbus Aelle R tubing at a fine price of about 80 dollars. It's in decent condition except for crappy Weihman 605 brakes (I don't know if the brakes are crap per se, but the ones on the bike are pretty worn out and ugly and all), so I bought a set of Miche Performance calliper brakes, but.....

The bolt (or screw?) that attaches the calliper to the frame is not compatible with the bore (hole?) in the frame.

Do you know what I'm talking about, or is this thread worthless without pictures? (which I currently cannot provide because the bike is at my LBS, who will try to rehaul the weihman brakes as much as he can, because they cannot be completely disassembled because of a plastic cap on the bolt)

I found a simillar bike on the internet:

Oddly enough, while it's the same frame (same decals, different colors, but same model STRADA R), mine has a columbus Aelle R sticker, while this one has a KTM steel sticker, and I'm sure I saw a fixed gear conversion somewhere on the internet, same frame, also Columbus Aelle sticker, funny?

Anyway, different parts, but same brakes, weihman 605, my question is, is there a solution for my problem, can the bolt on the miche brakes be changed or something??

Ah, sometimes I think that Sheldon Brown's web page has infinite amount of info:

This is the problem.

If anyone googled his way to this thread, having the same problem, go here: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/calipers.html and type "recessed mounting" in find.

Any sort of feedback is still appreciated though.

Ah, as always, I found a bunch of threads dealing with this problem already, it's just that I didn't know what to search for. This thread is ok to go to the dumpster thank you very much.

Glad you got it sorted.
