Getting rid of small spots of rust.....
The paint on my bike is in excellent condition, but I have a couple very small spots of rust around a couple of the cable eyelets on the frame. What would be the best way to remove these rust spots without mucking up the paint too much?
I was thinking a small wire brush carefully used, or a bit of steel wool?? Or is there something else that works better? |
I like steel wool and WD40.

Also, I have been looking for some touch up paint, as there are some small areas where the kickstand used to be and around the rear brake and such that could stand to be touched up. Found the Waterford site http://waterfordbikes.com/now/home.p...e=touchuppaint
and they seem to have the winter mint color in touch up.....but it's $30 for a small can.(If it's an exact match, then $30 bucks is not a bad price, imo, as the small can would probably last me forever) Any other ideas on touch up paint? |
