What happened to the top tube? Looks as if some drunk hipster smashed it into a wall when the bar wouldn't sell him any more Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Most likely it was locked up and someone intentionally vandalized it. Happens all the time here, and the owners just give up and leave them there. If I see one with nice parts on it, I sometimes leave a note offering to buy it cheap, but no one has ever gotten back to me. I suspect most of the owners are long gone.

for sale:

two bikes, and metal post. one slightely dented. free u-lock. no low-ball offers....

Maybe he got t-boned by a car or another rider while doing mad fixie tricks, maybe he shrugs it off and still rides it as is.

Maybe his GF caught him cheating and she went nuts with her U-lock on his bike?

At first look you may think the owner caused all the damage to bike, but prehaps it has been saved from the dump?

I saw an advert for two bikes for 20 euros, if you turn up you must take the bikes.
both the bikes had been found at the dump, and were pretty beat up.
Threw most of the stuff in the bin, appart from some handle bars and flogged the not so great condition spidel parts on ebay cheep.

This morning I had to choose between taking the Junker II out to do my errands or my newly finished Torpado Super Racing. Guess I'll take the Torpado Yard Sailing tomorrow morning:-)

I have another frame with a huge dent, full reynolds 531. Should make a great riding, carefree beater bike.

Maybe he needed brass balls clearance for climbing off the saddle?? Or dad bought him a "modified" oversized frame just to be spiteful.

Ya, but your college town has some great CL deals on instruments and equipment. I hate finding good deals in your town, cuz it always means a long day getting there and back.

They're probably just using it for a beater...
