Need help with Shimano Crank

I've got a Shimano N600 crank on my 85 Trek 620. Seems like pre-Ultegra, some touring variant portion of the 600 group, I'm assuming.

If I also assume that the taper is JIS would I be correct? I'd really like to hear from somebody who knows this definitively rather than guessing on informed hunches like I am - it makes nice conversation and all, but it isn't warm and fuzzy enough for me to go out and buy a bottom bracket or something.

Beyond that, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about these cranks. It is actually quite nice, 110/74 bcd, set up for half step + granny, nice form, looks very nice quality.

It is about the only part I'm considering carrying forward, not a whole lot of 110/74 options other than XD* from Sugino, and then some oddball stuff, certainly nothing that appears head and shoulders above this crank.

Thanks!

Yep. Shimano 600 triple cranks are some of the nicest cranks- ever. Forged arms, conservative design, nice finish. (Just like fine wine- except the part about forged arms.)
