Here's a little pic of what I've been working on today. The signature of David de Isac Cohen Nassy. A remarkable man living at the end of 18th century who spend his life running from debtors after a few failed ventures, but still managed to crank out a remarkable corpus of work ranging from a long treaty on the history of the sephardic community in Surinam to heartfelt poems to his dearly departed wife - a Portugese Jew in a Dutch Colony who emigrated to Philadelphia in the newly formed U.S. of A., corresponding with leading minds in Germany, Holland, England and France. And "they" say Globalisation is a new thing!

Beginning of our first family road trip with an extra kid - Disneyland or bust.

Have fun! I've spent many, many miles in a van just like that. I guarantee yours smells better.

Alas, Vonnegut is long gone, so it goes, but his daughter is a very nice woman, and a good artist.
As for oysters, well, I don't do oysters I'm afraid. They don't fight worth a damn on the line.

Hah, sorry for the confusion--I was talking about the photo directly above my reply. That choppy wave photo looks a lot like the view of Follins Bay Pond from my Aunt's house in S. Dennis. Really love visiting there.

good luck with the crowds, i'm sure you're coming down cause it's spring break for the kids...? same for most schools around here too. Disneyland has the potential to destroy anyone's spirits very quickly when its the busy season. that being said, if you get a chance to take it easy and just leisurely walk around it is pretty good time, especially with the kids. have fun!
