Waffle says,

Let's take a road trip, and I'll drive this time, OK? Seriously, I'm an excellent driver. I'll drive very, very fast.

He was supposed to be schmaltzy. You should have seen him ham it up during the concert. On other pieces during the concert he had opportunity to play concert referee's whistle and concert slide whistle.

Ha, yes, now you mention it... A lot of tiny cars. But imagine a Cadillac Escalade going to this street. Thanks to the flourishing drug trade in the next neighborhood, that's a regular occurence

Greyhounds are amazing. She lies still all day, and then when she moves, nearly everything is at double speed. She's smart, too.

You are correct; it's a B5 Passat wagon. I'm moving back to NYC and won't need it any more. Would you like to buy it? It's given me a lot of trouble, so I'll have to do a few repairs before I sell it. But you probably know the B5's Achilles heels.

85 degrees F and it's "snowing" - cottonwood tree seed time. It's just floating in the air with no wind to push it out of here.

Is that what this stuff is? It's my first spring on the west coast, so I was kind of confused by it.

When I was a kid that stuff would always collect in the gutter, and we would light it on fire, ha.

Preliminary set up of the tent for touring. Not done completely - i.e. ropes for the rain fly tied off. Was just looking to see how it looked. Size is just about right.

It (a '74 Nishiki Competition) is going to be a pearl silver/grey. I bought some paint to match the original color, intending to spray only the down tube and some spot touch ups here & there. But then I came to the realization the rust was worse than I thought, so the whole frame needed to be stripped and will get repainted in the same original pearl silver/grey color.
