Thanks, I was surprised the photo came out that nice. It was challenging because I was alone when I caught the fish. I had to hold the fish slightly out of the water with it still on the line with the fly rod in my right hand, and took the picture with the camera in my left hand.
I definitely snagged it, but with the hook so close to its mouth my guess is it was going for the fly but got spooked at the last moment. The St. Joe River is a great fly fishing destination, highly recommended.

Don't advertise your favorite spots, Saguaro!
I hook fish like that once in a while. Did that on one fish last weekend. You feel something graze the fly, and strike. Pretty fish indeed. I so rarely take pictures of my fish before I release them, it seems such a juggling act. The pic of that striper I posted earlier is the first time I've ever done it! And I've been doing this for years. Afraid I'm going to drop my new Canon in the water too.

You think your son got older, your looking like a grandpa back there. That is you sitting at the counter right? California must have aged you about 30 years.

The nice thing about an unpainted garage is it makes it easier to find the studs to put up racks and cabinets. I am sure the reason it is done by builders is because of cost.
I ended up painting mine. It was a good way to use up the 5 or 6 different opened cans of ceiling paint I had.

Honest question, why do I see so many garages with unpainted drywall? I often pass by a development with fairly expensive homes and noticed that every single garage looks like yours. It just seems so close to being finished, that I wonder why stop?

Generally I think most people don't paint the garage until last and most newer homes come that way.

Thanks for posting that cool "watercolor" shot, Scott! I'll be looking forward to riding the Spinella come July
Check out this character:

I never saw a praying mantis during either of my two previous tours here, so I wonder if he/she stowed away on one of our incoming flights from Singapore. First saw one about a month ago, and this may be the same one. There will be others, I believe: I found one of their distinctive egg deposits today here in our barracks area and am looking forward to seeing if we get some hatchlings soon

Flynn this morning... found him looking suspiciously cute next to a drawing pad.

I'm in the process of building him a rack-top basket to ride in for short trips.

I got this pic of him when he began climbing upwards from my hand; I think he stopped to admire his reflection!

Amazing shark pictures!
I've posted a couple pictures of the brood 2 cicada invasion, but pictures can't capture their sound or the story. Check this video out, it captures the every day sound that I've been riding in for weeks now!
