Bundy is the good stuff. Thankfully, I have found a source for it here. Goslings is good too. Blenheim is first rate as well.

It's scare in Scotland but thankfully for Costco I too have found a safe supply. Fentimans in my opinion is still the best out there.

Is anyone aware of the beer Piney the Elder? Apparently it's popular but scarce, and made somewhere in the Bay area. Friends back east keep asking me to send them some, but it's not easy to come by. Wasnt sure if this was a well known beer or what.

Beautiful shot Wino Ryder! It's not easy to make aluminum shine next to chrome but you sure pulled it off... really nice!

I've heard tales of its high quality. Mostly of family and friends who go to special keg tappings in Philadelphia at all kings of weird hours. I also heard from someone on a recent trip to Oregon that they had a keg of it saved up for a special occasion. They're pretty serious about beer up there.

Pliny the Elder (spelled with an L) is brewed by the Russian River Brewing Company in Santa Rosa, CA. I believe their website has a list of shops selling it in bottles.

My brother is a way bigger beer snob than me. He moved to Portland Oregon 2 years ago. I've asked him about the breweries out west and he surprised me by not gloating about them (the way he does with Portland in general). His opinion is that there are a LOT of breweries, but only a small amount are actually great. He misses Michigan beers that he can't get on the west coast (Founder's and Bells).

Then there is the food: When he is in town, he always makes sure to go to Fat Heads in Cleveland. The beer is excellent and the food is alarmingly unhealthy. He claims that food in Portland doesn't seem to reach the same disgusting heights as it does in Ohio.

This is a headwhich from fatheads. Most of the menu items are about this size. It's roughly the size of a human head.

My daughter likes to steal my phone and take silly self-portraits, which are always an amusing surprise when I browse my photos (she's wearing some lotion for a rash on her cheeks).

I've off and on been thinking about building one, or having it built, for the past 7 or eight years.

Edit: Looks like I might want to continue in that direction....
