Didn't even TOUCH a bike this weekend, was camping with the Boy Scouts, tubing down the Rainbow River...

STILL Hot here in FL...though I hear fall is hitting up north!

Nice pic of the red-shouldered hawk. Did you get any pics of the river? People may be surprised at how clear it is.

True, that one pic may make the Rainbow River look swampy...it is CLEAR....floating along watching the sand, grass, and fish as I floated by....

Yes, nice hawk photo. People would also be surprised at the difficulty of photographing birds!
That water does look sweet.

Yes, that hawk was rather irritated at me stalking him and trying to get close....I squeezed off one shot....and off he flew.....far away, this was his third perch after two shorter hops away from me. That water shot...is about 3-4 feet deep....LOOKS much shallower. The Rainbow River at Dunnellon FL is incredibly clear...and pretty cool, you freeze on the bottom and fry on the top!

Late summer:
picnic in the park

k1 flies a kite

playoff AAA baseball at night

My 18 month old (k2) stuck it out until the 6th inning. (Pawsox got clobbered by Durham Bulls anyway!)

This is a truly great photo, I recommend it for the Every Day Pic Hall of Fame. It is a simple picture but evokes much. You can feel the temperature, the excitement of the ride and the sense closing of something great. It has the same effect to me as an Edward Hopper painting. The color, lighting, reflection of the trees and the grain of the photo are perfect.

It's a bike in a bubble. It will get an infection if it leaves the bubble.

actually that looks like a Jeep soft top window material to me. Maybe that's what it is. Anyway, I'm going to respectfully note that perhaps bici_mania might have been under the influence while making his post above.

Better than a spare tire. It was in the back of my car last week for impromptu rides after work n such. I pulled it out on sunday morning for a long ride and that is when I took this photo
