Fam and I decided to spend the weekend in Tahoe. We took the cetma, Betty Foy, and a kids bike.

luckily fitting cargo bikes in minivans is easy.

we rode on a bike trail to the lake

as you can imagine, it's pretty ugly there.

the water is almost as clear as the East River in NYC.

my daughter hated every minute of it.

I got in trouble with the wife since she was under my watch when she burred her socks in the sand somewhere, never to be seen again.

To be continued.

a small airplane kept going over us and waving.

then we explored one of the creeks that dumps into the lake, and Salmon were doing there thing

eventually my sons legs (and attitude) crapped out. Luckily I had the cetma.

and un an unrelated story, these were all over town

I don't know why anyone would go there either. It's even uglier in the winter.

This seat post is pretty far gone. Down the side of the post is a fairly significant gouge, probably from some rack/contraption mounted to the post, and some flaking corrosion can be seen at the top end of the post. Metal bits are soaking in Oxalic Acid. We'll see how close I can bring this back to respectability...

Passed by this bike at the market. I can't put my finger on it, but something just seems out of place...

I ride this route three days out of the week.

Although not quite as quickly as you do.

We live just across the river in St. Paul, maybe ten minutes by bike from the VA hospital and Fort Snelling.

Nice Bianchi btw.

Wowzers, what a thread!!! Fantastic pix/content all around - especially neat to see other St. Pete/Tampa Bay folks represent!!! I really need to get plugged in to other local C&V folk. . .

A few recent "around town" pix:
