Ed: I got an email, but it doesn't show up in my BF PMs so I was unsure how to answer it - came from the BF server. In any case, I am looking into some other things if my next PT session shows no improvement to the pros. I can't see/feel any. Since I quit smoking back in June 2013, I've gained weight, which hasn't helped, but I was advised early in my PT to pretty much stop riding and running. I've tried to stay on top of it lately by eating more salads (not that I've really changed my food intake) and doing the hiking.

Scott:
I've stuck to the PT regimen and - even tho I tried for awhile to get some bike miles - it seems my neck's made the decision the therapist recommended back in late December. No weights, no riding, no running - just the stretching and hip flexor strengthening exercises and the hiking. I do know I have an issue with both legs having asymmetrical issues - I wonder now about the length issue perhaps causing some of this? The problem with stuff like this is that it comes along over time and it's hard to point at one single thing, although the fall that fractured my right scapula back in late 2006 might finally be manifesting itself, too.

Ironic that now I have all the freakin' time in the world to ride, run, work out and whatnot and I find myself having to be fairly sedentary for the time being. And summer's right around the corner

We'll see. It's not over till it's over, after all!

Thanks for the suggestions and words of encouragement all!

But, in the spirit of "every day" pics, as I've been working on these every day for the last month or so, here's some pics of the leather awl hafts I've been making, and selling on the leatherworker forum. Made to hold a small, diamond-shaped blade, for saddle stitching type leather work. A bit of show n' tell.

Beautiful pieces, Scott! However, I can never see an awl without wincing ever since I learned (when I was, like, 6) that Louis Braille lost his sight because of one

When I was very young, a very long time ago, when dinos still roamed the earth, early one morning, hungry, with no adult to provide as my parents were still sleeping, I went foraging through the pantry. I found a large box of raisins, similar to what Mr Clement is devouring. Well I ate the entire contents of said box. To this day, many, many years later, I still can't look at a raisin.

First time for everything. It saved my life, as I know it anyway. Going too fast over a speed bump, sideways, pedal bottomed on the hump.

Pics big enough?

Seeds, glad you're okay and better than the helmet!

Different subject. Last year must have been a good one for miles:

My daughter took this one. We were eating lunch above Crescent Bar on the first day, and we got buzzed by this guy. Was really neat to see it fly by at eye level. Most probably on a training mission following the Columbia River canyon.

RogerM, those pics are quite stunning! Especially the one with your daughter standing in the road. My sweetie said she'd just love toke a road like that. And that waterfall is just spectacular.

All those pics are great! But the road pic...it looks like your daughter got dropped into a screen saver! Very dramatic/cool pic! The contrast between the sky & earth as well as the concrete & shoulders...it's really striking.
