Just repaired... it had been (badly) drilled out after the threads were stripped.

Will look better after it gets a little touch up and new paint.

Looks like a cold, crisp winter day. But alas, only the very beginning of the wet, so leafage hasn't yet re-appeared. Moving into the new (and final) shop. Airy, well lit. The rest of the house is still under construction. That's Quinto on the porch.

Not exactly 'every day' - 'T' lived with us for a year over 20 years ago. (we used to do foster care). An amazing young man who has surmounted difficulty and disappointment all along the way.

Yesterday he graduated from the Boston Police Academy:

A few threads up, someone posted a picture of a drum kit. That's the only instrument I don't have in my collection (but yet I know how to play). For some crazy reason, my wife won't let me have a nice drum kit in the house.

Anyway, since this is about C&V items, I believe a bunch of these instruments fall into that category - especially my grandmother's heirloom violin (about 100 years old)!

Front row: An old marching band mellophone (i.e. like a french horn in the key of F), Ibanez mandolin, my grandmother's antique heirloom violin.
Middle row: Yamaha 12 string acoustic, Fender Stratocaster, a recorder in C (behind mandolin), Holton Collegiate trumpet (1967), Bundy clarinet (1973), Conn Director trombone (1966), an old (1950's?) Crown Euphonium (i.e. Baritone), Samick electric bass (pawn shop special, stripped down, overhauled, and rebuilt by me).
Back row: My new/used Yamaha DGX-505 portable grand, full size, 88-key, electronic keyboard.

Oh and yes, as you can see, I'm one of those crazy multi-instrumentalists that plays a little of everything... Whatever pops into my head, is whatever I play and on whatever instrument I happen to grab at the time!

This morning I brought this newly minted bicycle to a customer for her first test ride... aside from swapping the tyres she was giddy about the ride.

Building a 700c bicycle for someone who is all of five feet tall with some specific set up requirements was a tall order.
